Well, I'm no engineer, but I've built plenty of sheds and none have ever blown down, although they all could tonight....

I would have just used hurricane brackets that our local lumberyard recommends, but mainly because I'm lazy and that's easier.

No way those brackets are worthless, even if all they do is give the farmer a better night's sleep during a storm (but I would have done everything possible to have it open to the south or east).
