Farming in NW Iowa

I have great appreciation for that sarcasm. There is no doubt in my mind that if it was personal the farmer who bid it up and ended up not having to pay for it got the last laugh.

The farmer who didn't get it wasn't laughing, he looked rather angry. It wasn't an intentional bid up. He lives right across the road from the land. The man who did get it bought lives 3/4 mile down the road. You should also know that the man who had the next to last bid has bought probably 800 acres in the last 4 years for I'm guessing $5000 or more and always seems to have the ability to get more, except today.
