| I'm a bto and I could not do it any other way. I dont like working alone. I want to do multiple things at same time. harvest / tillage / fertilizer/ finishing all at once. planting /tillage/ spraying. other wise Id die of boredom. being spread out you can always move somewhere to work most of the time. I never run after land it comes to me. guys always wonder how it does. I guess its in my blood. dad farmed and did custom work all over back in the 30's. we as a family farmed all over for years. now the rest have retired and its just me and my very very good help. not that many for 11000 acres. its not easy, you don't get rich. you piss some people off. but its what I will do til the bank takes it all away.... | |
