| Tools and Preventive Maintenance
My farm has a problem. We are running 5 Chevy 1 ton trucks and I can’t get my employees to take care of them. Something is always more important than cleaning out the truck or changing oil. We don’t have vehicles assigned to specific employees. I provide tools, but they are either broken or missing after a year. I can’t get anyone to fess up about either loosing tools or breaking them. All I hear is “It was fine when I used it”. I’m looking for what other producers are doing to both manage their vehicle fleets and maintain tools.
