Up until a year or so ago, I would have agreed. You could buy either a 100 HP Maxxum or 140 HP Magnum, of similar age, hours, and options for about the same money.
However, in the last year, or maybe year and a half, it seems that the Boxcar Magnums have risen in value, much faster than the Maxxums.

On a side note, I took my old 1066 to an independent mechanic last week for some work, and he told me, it is easier to get parts for a 1066, than a Maxxum. On the Maxxums, they are not wanting to sell individual parts so much as entire reman assemblies, so while on the 1066 you can get individual bearings, on the Maxxums you may have to get the whole assembly, IF it is still available. (Kind of ticks him off how Case wants you to buy a $1000 assembly when all it needs is a couple $30 bearings).
