Feeding alfalfa
Some on here have talked about feeding alfalfa for more than just a protein.

my question is how does a small feeder utilize that alfalfa.

most of our feed stuffs are in bags so how much alfalfa is in a foot of 9 foot silage bag ?
so kind of trying to get an idea how much alfalfa we would have to feed each day to keep a bag of alfalfa fresh

Then the next question would be how do you guess how many tons per acre per year you would get so how many acres of alfalfa you’d have to plant to to feed your cattle for the year

I reckon it’s impossible to get real close but just got to be close enough I guess
