Technically you could run a 25 mesh for -04 and up, but seems like convention has been to use 50 mesh from like 110-02 and up to -06. Larger than -06 being not really requiring a strainer.

Shouldn't have any flow restriction caused by the strainer mesh with an -04 size, if thats what you were gathering.


And yes, for chem spraying, usually if you were going to rely on inline boom strainers instead of nozzle strainers, best to stick with 80 mesh there.
If you are swapping to top dressing, then you'd swap those with 50 mesh to save you grief.
