The chance of damaging the flag leaf is too high with 28/32% N, even with stream bars (any burn is too much on the fragile and important flag leaf).
So as much as I hate spinning disc spreaders (they streak most of the time), see if you can find someone with a high-clearance dry spreader. Spin on some urea, ideally ahead of a rain.
Your getting late, so needs to be ASAP. If your raising SRWW, they don't pay for extra protein do they ?
Just try to get them to do it in the afternoon if you can. I had some spun on some pretty tall corn and it torched the leaves pretty hard. Right by the highway of course. |
