Subject: RE: rye or winter wheat before beans?

Middletown, MO
We do it every year here in northeast Missouri. Drill 80-120 lbs of Triticale, Cereal Rye, Barley, or wheat. Seeding rate and species depend on your goals, fall timing, and spring timing. Hit it with about 80 units N and removal rates of P&K at greenup. Normal years we bale and silage wrap our triticale from the 5th-25th of may and no till beans ASAP behind it. Works really good.
