Northwest IA. Near Ft. Dodge | On our2010 YP 16 / 32 twin row planter, I am having dirt and trash plug the depth wheels in between the wheel and the disc opener. Only use this planter for beans. Last winter I replaced the disc openers, inside scrapers, and outside scrapers. I have adjusted and shimmed the wheels according to the book.
I am wandering if I need new bushings in the depth wheel arms as they are slightly loose. Also if new tires on the depth wheels would help. There does not seem to be a square edge on the tire next to the opener any more.
I am the only one with this problem or is that the characteristics of this planter? Thank you |
