| 9# raw weight pork butt will probably yield 5-5.5# of cooked weight. With sides, one can typically figure 1/3# per person average (I typically cook for 1/2# per person, but that depends on the crowd). So, if you end up with 5.5# cooked weight at 1/3# per person, that 9# pork butt will feed 16-18 people. That seems high to me, so maybe my math is wrong this morning? | |
