I realize you're likely in the field trying to do a repair,but this is the slickest way to work on a pull type box drill. Hoist it up then let gangs swing down. You can repair in place or lift them off with a fork lift. Stand up to work on front gang and sit on a stool to do rear gang. Lifted with chain hoist, held with safety wrap of chain and supported with a 6' safety stand.
