You’ve established that the problem is not the sensor or sub harness.

Unplug and re-plug all the big main electrical connections, maybe you’ll get lucky, but I doubt it.

Sounds like an issue in the main wiring harness. Probably near a hinge. Sometimes wire insulation looks ok but the conductor inside is damaged. It’s probably going to require a closer look than a couple minutes in the field allows. Might require probing. Can be very frustrating to try to track down.
