Subject: Hooking printer to office network

West Central, IA
I should know how to do this but I'm slipping in my age and my plate gets fuller every day...

Have a D-Link DSL router/modem combo running the office computers and wireless antenna. I want to put the printer in a corner where I have wired an cat5 plug.

If I come out of my modem/router combo into a stand alone router, from that router I feed the printer line and then the two computer lines, will that allow me to print from any computer in the office? Something tells me no...

Can I do it with the D-Link setup I already have? Guessing I need a printer router or something.

Printer is a HP 7780 all setup for ethernet and wireless - I would do it wirelessly but the corner I am putting it in does not get very good signal and would rather just hard wire it to alleviate issues.

Thanks much
