Southeast Colorado | If it can just get that head poked out..........amazingly it can still make a crop. I've seen it that way more that the way it's supposed to happen. We've cut 10 to 15 bpa crops where about the only leaf remaining green was the flag leaf 2 weeks after heading. Another week or so after that there is no green in the field except the head. 2 to 3 weeks after that you're ready to harvest a pretty light test weight crop. | |
