We have a oil “sink” inside shop that drains to a 500 gal barrel outside. Shop is built up so barrel sits lower than foundation in a containment dike. The sink my brother made which has a expanded metal about 3/4 of way down to hold filters to let drain. It is 2” plumbing to outside tank so can dump a 5 gal pail all at once. Have had it over 20 yrs and never had any problems
