The two items mounted above the alternator are the circuit breakers that were used for the two sides of the original split 24/12 volt electrical system.
The plate was originally mounted under the mounting bolts that hold the starter solenoid onto the starter motor. That’s why it has an edge that’s bent at an angle to the flat part.
