Subject: Teff grass for hay in irrigated SW. Anyone have experience ?

First time planting. I planted 30 acres. 12 pounds per acre. I am worried about the yield. Some people tell me it yields almost as much as Sorghum Sudan? Some people hate the yield. Do I have to cut it 6 inches above ground and before it heads ? How much actual N? I have unlimited flood irrigation, should I water it weekly or bi weekly? Our first freeze is November. Thanks
