Currently looking at the Case 2150 with factory Precision row unit and clean sweep row cleaner. The other planter we're considering is the Deere's DB bar with there high speed system. I feel the JD 1775 bar is to cluttered and doesn't have enough room for us to run our starter and 2x2 system. I'm surprised how open and simple looking the new 2150 model is compared to Deere's 1775 model. Can anyone tell me the pros and cons to either planter? Listed below is what we currently think of the two brands.
Case; Stronger row unit and tighter in the parallel arms. Case; Easier/compacted meter system Case; Poor protection on the marker hydraulic hoses. Hoses hang out in the open to catch on fence lines. Case Pro 700; Poor planter information unless you run the 20/20 monitor Deere; Better row cleaner with there air adjust unit compared to Case's Clean Sweep Deere; Bigger cylinder for wing weight transfer. Case's is half the size. Deere; Weaker parallel arms and closing wheel play. I would want to update to the RK system. Deere's seed tube; Feel it will last longer than Precision
This would be a 24 row 30" planter pulled by a 2013 JD 8xxxRT tractor
TIA
