Years ago we were replacing 500w halogens too frequently, so I looked into options. (before LED) I found Metal Halides that put out more light and payed for themselves compared to Halogen in 2 years. Bigger fixture, but I haven't changed them near as often. Running on dusk to dawn sensor.
