1 hour east of ol cheyenne
A brake cam bushing used on semi air brakes is what I have installed in one. They are nylon and can be cut down if need be. A used one fit in my trailer with a bit of trimming. A fab of jb weld keeps it in place.

A piece of large electrical heat shrink that would fit over your shaft may work also and after shrinking would stay in place.
