E.Central MN | I called Heitman when I needed a new front wheel center for an early 6080. He had several sets of the later style and offered a deal if I bought a set including the rims, but I didn't want to spend that much. About a three weeks later Heitman called and said he had just got in an early 6080. While we were talking on the phone, he took a look at the wheel center and said "you know what, this looks just like the other ones I have. I better measure it and call you back." Apparently someone had switched the centers and rims to the later style. Had to give him credit for trying to find the right part. We repaired the one we had. Buying a salvage tractor is always a crap shoot, doesn't matter who you buy it from. | |
