Southern Colorado | I posted with a similar problem last week. I was using a greenstar liquid rate controller with a raven flow meter and standard control valve. I took the valve off and verified that the butterfly moves when you control it in the diagnostic mode. I teed in to the controller with a multimeter and taped it to the window so I could see the response when I changed speed. What I found was as soon as I turn the master valve on I have 13 volts constantly. The control valve uses two wires and opens or closes the butterfly by changing polarity. It is my understanding that the valve should only be energized when a flow adjustment needs to be made. If the unit is on target it should not have voltage. My next move is to swap the greenstar controller with another. | |
