south texas | My 08 was doing the same thing. I tried pulling codes but didn't have much luck with my cheap scanner. It finally quit and wouldn't do anything anymore. Was some body or engine controller that failed. I let our local mechanic do it since he has experience with these systems and i have plenty of work to do with systems i understand well.
If the )z( symbol is coming up, thats what mine did. I thought is was the grid heater but is ele fuel system.
I don't know what he changed but i know mine left me stranded, luckily it wasn't on a busy rd. It would shut off going down the rd after that symbol came up. Would restart untill it didn't. Right before it quit completely it did let me restart after 10 mins.
I also tried cleaning battery cables and grounds. | |
