| I can't be much help, but maybe can get you started. I had an ancient hagie 8250 that I was able to ez-steer so good that it would apply fungicide down the rows of corn without any nudging or anything. The trick was the harder settings to get to in the ez-steer setup. I was using a FM1000. I did a field one day and adjusted the settings each pass until I figured out what was best. It's been 5 years or more since we moved on from that Hagie, but I do remember the "angle of turn" and one of the other settings in there were the trick. I kept fiddling with it even after I had it pretty close and was amazed at how good I was eventually able to get it to be. I also remember that going too far one way with "Angle of turn" made it unable to "find" the line, and too far the other way made it oscillate. Hopefully someone will write in that has better advice than I have. | |
