| I also had that in my yard so finally asked our local guru about it. She said it is prostrate vervain. I'll try to attach a pic of the paper she sent me.
I don't recall what finally got rid of it. I think the main thing that helped with eradication was established turf. The way I recall, Speedzone works a good number on it though. Usually spot spraying pretty well killed it, although those stems would sometimes green back up the next spring.
