North Central Indiana | Our farm is 16 miles south and a little west of Grissom. I enjoy reading stories about the B58’s as I remember as a kid when they would fly over and hear and feel the sonic boom as they broke the sound barrier. On the other hand my grandmother was none to happy as those booms shook her house and stuff would fall off the walls and off of shelves.
Today they fly a large trainer jet over our farm on a regular basis, but there in no comparison to the activity as when I was a kid in the fifties and sixties. | |
