| The old EZ-Guide 500 is not updated anymore. There was a firmware update in 2010. But recently there was also an update 5.12 couple years ago to keep it working with EGNOS SBAS corrections for European users.
So as far as I had understood with the old EZ-Guide 500 displays one has to live with the limitations that it has There will be no firmware updates coming to improve functionality.
On open fields with good sky view they are still most useful and easy to use tools and can be used to get ez-steer "assisted" steering and ez-boom section and rate control for reasonable price.
