you let him use your hay equipment, so you know how he treats it. Rent him the land at whatever you think a fair price is. rent him your equipment to farm it. 50 acres is better to rent equipment anyway. Let him do it all. see how it works out. you could do a crop share. if you have faith he will do a good job.
