If I read that correctly a guy in his 30s with family ground and little kids would do extremely well but the guy who's 65 and ready to sell out with no farming children wl have an expensive education.
This is going to make guys want to farm longer to avoid the tax
Only if he sells the farm. He could still quit and rent it out.
Maybe it happens elsewhere, but I don't think I can name one farmer that retired and sold everything and just lived. Sold machinery and rented out ground, yes. |
