I think the liquid modules always need an implement switch (or jumper) connected to it.
I added a liquid system our planter this year and my kit came with a cable to tee into my implement switch going to my other Ag Leader modules.
I think if there is not a Liquid module there is a hierarchy to follow on which module needs the switch plugged in, but a liquid module always needs one I was told.
