Subject: Precision Planting Finger Units - Best Way to Clean

I have a 2 year old set of Precision Planting finger units in my Kinzie 3600 16R. I've been using Precision for about 20 years and never had any issues.

That said, this year (after a rain event) I'm having some issues with singulation. I take them apart and man there is a lot of treatment residue in there. So, clean the offending rows a bit and I put in graphite and it seems to fix it. I put it in the shed and now 4 days later after a couple of rain events, same thing - poor singulation.

So I guess I need to do a good cleaning of each unit.

Does anyone have any recommendations on best way to clean these ?

I always keep it in the shed, so it's not getting rained on. Maybe the humidity in the air is making the seed treatment sticky … ?

Any thoughts are apricated.
