I was just thinking this same thing today. I totally agree with everyone being sold out way too early, etc. It’s almost depressing to think that none of this extra income will be in the producers pockets after the input suppliers get done with us this fall. This game is getting less fun all the time for those of us that aren’t silver spooners. And when the fun’s gone wtf is left? On the flip side, if it was easy, I probably wouldn’t want to do it in the first place!
I am not pointing you out. But there are many of us who get by with 10-20 year old paid off equipment, don't chase high end cash rents, and just do our thing (for me its running cows, keeps me busy and from spending money). I sold too much corn at 5 (75%), but am sitting on a lot of beans (over 75%). Let it roll baby! |
