Depends on what planter and ground conditions.
With my 1993 7800 2wd
I ran a Kinze 2600 12/23 for years and had no problems. 1500 rpm and not much fuel/day.
I changed to a CIH 1200 (12/23) 3 years ago. Turned the pump up to 165HP. Run balls to the wall all day. I No-till and don't think that tractor would work in worked ground. And on hills I drop down to just a few miles/ hour.
