I have a DCX131, which is a rebadged NH1431.  I thought it was in decent condition when I bought it but ended up having to rebuild the cutterbar.  There are driveshafts between each module and the module has a shaft with female splines.  Once rebuilt with a lot of parts from Disc Mower Doctor, I should have a good mower for many years.  I believe Vermeer cutterbar drive system is different.
