Most I know can plant their corn crop in 3-5 good days and the beans in another 3-5 good days. 2 weeks of good weather easily gets the crop in the ground.
In the past 10 years the size of planters (which are now mostly bulk fill) and the speed at which the crop can go in the ground has increased big time. Hardly anyone trades for a new planter the same size as the one they had regardless of whether they added acres or not.
