Illinois | Agriculture has and is a boom and bust economy, the high prices in 18-20 was due to WWI and the massive increase in demand for American farm products since it actually wasn't affect by the destruction like Europe was. Look at the bust that followed. It a lesson for what we are in right now. Export demand driven booms have always ended badly for those that don't plan for the drop in prices. | |
