My dad had wild blue and it was horrible. Maybe twice as fast as dial up and cost $50 per month. He recently switched to verizon with a wireless usb card, sorry I can't remember the exact name of the card. He absolutely loves it. Blazing fast for only $10 more per month. I have a service called wisper which uses radio waves that works great also but they are only local and only $40 per month. I have heard that hughs net is very slow also. I wouldn't waste my money on satelite internet.
