Subject: RE: Tyre pressure question...

Central NSW, Australia
Ham, for what it's worth my thoughts are as follows bearing in mind that don't have access to any tyre charts. Being on a double fold bar and the fact that they are 22 ply implies that they are capable of and expected to run at a fairly high pressure to stand up satisfactorily when the bar is folded. My approach would be to inflate them until the sidewalls "look right" provided of course that the maximum pressure rating is not exceeded. I would also take into account the traveling you expect to do. Tyres that are too hard would not perform well in softer ground while sowing. For example, I have a Flexi-Coil 40' single fold bar that has centre tyres that are recommended to be inflated to 65 psi. I think that they are fine at 45 psi unless I plan a significant road trip - then they get 65 psi.
I expect that you, like me, have been inflating tyres to "look right" for years.

I expect that you have had enough rain to open your season nicely?
Good luck
David
