NS Canada | I've been fasting before it was a trendy thing. Never felt good eating first thing in the morning, Usually eat a lunch type meal around 11am, only a large glass of water to start the day and get to work. And yes I used to be one of these people who had myself convinced 'oh I'd starve if I didn't eat first thing'... And at first I had hunger pains, and didn't like to drink water early in the morning. But now it feels great.
Makes sense in my head. Back in the caveman days we would have had to spend the day finding food. Load up on it, sleep while it was dark, and then get up and start all over. Not get up and stuff our faces before our bodies were even up to operating temp AND THEN try and be productive trying to maintain shelter, safety and food supply on a full gut.
There is however a fine balance of sharpness and productivity while hungry, vs getting weak and confused. If I'm putting out and push it towards noon before I eat I can feel the weakness coming on.
