I guess our sheep are trained. They regularly cross a belly deep stream (on a “normal” year). Two years ago we got 8” of rain in a couple of hours, and that little stream became waist deep before I got out there. They wouldn’t follow me across, but as soon as the dog started swimming to me the sheep followed.
