The ISO coupler contains a terminator inside, when nothing is plugged in to it that is one of two terminators on the greenstar harness, when. You plug into the ISO coupler the greenstar harness now continues as part of the implement connected to it and there will be a terminator at the end of the harness and the one in the ISO coupler isn't used. When the ISO goes bad the globe goes offline.
