| In-laws who were both in their mid 80s spent the last year hiding out. MIL came down with stage four lung cancer late December which required big city hospital stay/visit by FIL. Both got the Rona. She survived the rona but succumbed to the lung cancer six weeks later. FIL was deathly ill, can't remember five weeks of his life. High levels of oxygen but no vent. Currently residing in nursing home. Know of several other older people in town who went out all year and enjoyed life best as possible. Couple of them caught the rona and have passed but had quality of life in the meanwhile. As said above what did it all prove in the end? | |
