NESD

I created this message to send out to customers and other employees to reset the receivers that would not work .

Resetting the almanac in a SF Receiver

2630

From the main menu> Message Center (Soft Key Bj cgh)> Addresses(Soft Key G>Press and hold the Addresses Soft Key for 15 seconds, A “T” will appear to the left of Soft Key “A” > Open the Device Menu> Open  ITC.001 for SF3000 or GR6.001 for SF6000> Scroll to Address 180>Open Address  180> Press the enter button, A numeric key pad will open, select #1 and Accept, Press the enter button, the screen will return to the Address list and address 180 will display a #2, the Receiver is in the process of resetting, this will take several minutes to complete and start receiving signal from the satellites.

4600/4640

Main Menu > System > Diagnostic Center > Controllers > Press and hold the controller button for 10 seconds to enter Tech Mode, scroll to  Open  ITC.001 for SF3000 or GR6.001 for SF6000> Scroll to Address 180 >tap on this bar, tap on the Zero,  this will open a numeric key pad, change the number 0 to 1, then accept, this has cleared the almanac, you can X out now and go to the StarFire page, it may take up to 45 minutes to regain full strength signal, keep powered up until receiver is showing 3D SF1

Note: When the procedure has been done correctly you will get a message that the TCM needs to be recalibrated immediately upon accepting the number change at address 180.
