SW OH | You don't want to move them anymore than you have to after they are wrapped. It's easy to tear a hole in the plastic no matter what you use or how careful you are. I've tried several different kinds of tape and have about 50% success at best keeping air out. They should be stacked on end, more plastic there.
Hauling them after wrapped takes more room for the squeeze to not tear the bale beside the one you are squeezing. We usually wrap where they will be stacked so they are only handled once. You will only be able to haul half as many over non wrapped bales. Mine also weigh 2,000 plus pounds wet versus 800 dry, 4X5.
