Use an IPad Air 2 occasionally for scouting, etc. on a data plan. Screen got cracked, could either repair, or upgrade to newer model. Occasionally I have connection issues in a few areas in some fields. Did they make the cel antennae type stuff stronger on later models? Is there a specific model to go for or avoid?
