Subject: RE: New Holland EC 215 excavator info

While I have no experience with a 215 we had a ec160 for quite a while. They were made by O & K and rebranded. It was a easy to maintain machine with the engine and pumps on the side instead of the middle. Ours was pretty trouble free with a Cummins motor and not much for electronics. Had good power and dug well, parts were fairly easy to source from a New Holland dealer and not any more expensive then anything else. Got rid of it because we wanted a coupler and hyd. thumb. Only complaint is they used odd sized bucket pins (60mm) so buckets that fit without modification are scarce.
