roaming | when you say an RS232 emulator, you mean a USB-to-serial adapter, right?
When you install this adapter, it may install a utility that allows you to make the port change you are wanting. This program will probably appear in your Control Panel or Start Menu. If not, you can try adjusting your port settings in the Device Manager (Ports COM&LPT). I have never been exactly in your shoes (running through a DOS program), so I don't know for sure that this will work.
Be forewarned that not all USB/serial adapters are created equal. There is a chance that this adapter will never work for you, no matter how you configure your system. You may need to try a PCMCIA-to-serial adapter. Good luck! | |
