Bloomfield, KY. | Believe it or not, Funk's was around until 1990. I have a pocket notebook of theirs from that year. For some reason it seemed like they were gone much earlier than that.
We used to plant some of their corn. My favorite was G-5757. It was fun saying "fift-sev'm, fift-sev'm."
I collect old ag advertising, and have a lot of Funk's stuff--clothes, caps, signs, seed bags, and a notebook from every year from 1939 to 1990.
Boy, I need to get a life!
