Subject: logic vs emotion

Pittsburg, Kansas
Von WC Ohio - 3/18/2021 03:47

The old saw of the market can remain irrational longer than one can remain solvent still applies.

Never truer words spoken.

Being right with bad timing can be as bad as being wrong.

The problem with being logical about something is we also expect the rest of the world to be logical. But it is far from it. Maybe 90% emotions and 10% logic. So when we come up with a logical conclusion and things do not turn out that way we are surprised. Because we think everyone else should come up with the same logical conclusion. But they do not because by and large the world does not revolve around logic. It revolves around mostly emotions. Logic is the exception rather than the rule we expect it to be. So those of us who tend to be more logical oriented are baffled at what seems to be an illogic outcome.

Denninger is that in spades. He just can't grasp that most people do not operate on logic.
